X Window System for QNX*

The X Window System for QNX* combines the connectivity and graphics of X with the realtime performance of QNX to give users sophisticated graphics and the flexibility to plug into heterogeneous networks. The X Window System for QNX readily delivers over 220,000 Xstones on a 486, and additionally offers a transparent, dual-connection mechanism that lets users take advantage of TCP/IP connectivity while enjoying QNX's high-speed messaging.

As a full X11R5 implementation, the Runtime system includes full support for Motif, scalable fonts with a font server, and the X color management system and editor. Various other server extensions are available through third-party vendors or local distributors. The Development system includes all the necessary header files, libraries, and utilities to create X applications. Extensive resources, including documentation and public domain software are supplied.

Options include Motif, additional printed documentation, and PhinX*, to remotely control embedded and consoleless Photon devices from an X Windows desktop (requires installation of QNX realtime operating system technology and the Photon microGUI* on the remote device).
